Oversee activities such as plasma, cathodic arc and other processes on a variety of aircraft components. Act as chief supporter in the cell for continuous improvement and all CORE initiatives. Act as chief supporter in the cell for all EH&S initiatives. May serve as supervisor in the absence of the Business Unit Manager. Train employees in the performance of tasks related to their area of expertise. Set production schedules, track work in process and troubleshoot production problems. Schedule work duties and overtime. Evaluate employee performance and address employee discipline. Aid in interpreting specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assist in assigning duties. Ensure compliance with all relevant work instructions (SOI’s, DOI’s, OPM’s, etc.). Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems. Coordinate activities of individual departments with other supervisors. Strive for turnaround time improvement and 100 % on‑time delivery. Ensure company policies and procedures are complied with and understood. Hold monthly toolbox meetings. Maintain a clean and organized cell. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications You Must Have High school diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D.) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Qualifications We Prefer More than two (2) years of experience and a demonstrated ability to effectively supervise co‑workers. Previous experience in an FAA repair station. Previous experience in leading skilled craft persons in a production or refurbishing environment. Experience using SAP and Solumina. A&P license or eligibility for an FAA repairman’s certificate.
