Raleigh, NC 27615Work Schedule: On-sitePay rate: $47.50-$50Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 5:00, Mondays and Fridays remote Immediate need for a talented Data Engineer to support Aesthetics’ Global digital transformation by designing, implementing, and optimizing our database architecture and data structures within our Salesforce and SAP ecosystem. This is a 6-month contract opportunity located in Raleigh, NC, with hybrid schedule, and potential to extend. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of database architecture and data integration processes and will be responsible for ensuring that our data structures and warehouses are aligned to support global reporting needs. This position will be collaborating with various business and technical stakeholders like developers, architects, and analysts to deliver high quality data solutions that support our organizations growth and operational efficiency. A key component of this role will be to map, build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures between Salesforce and SAP.Design & DevelopmentParticipate in all phases of the Enterprise Data platform development life cycle as appropriate; including, but not limited to gathering customer requirements, defining technical requirements, creating high level architecture diagrams, data validation etc.Develop new data pipelines and ETL processes, while enhancing the efficiency of existing ones to support our global reporting objectives.Work closely with product managers, developers/architects, and business/reporting analysts to define/sign-off data requirements.Collaboration & Thought LeadershipPartner with global and regional business cross- functional teams to ensure data alignment across the organizationSubject Matter Expert (SME) on data interfaces from/to core platforms supported by Global Digital Team.DocumentationCreate and maintain detailed data models, ER diagrams and data flow diagrams.Oversee the creation of Data mapping and data dictionary documents.CommunicationProvide clear and visible communication to all stakeholders.Present written recommendations, requirements, and insights to senior leaders and stakeholders, facilitating prioritization and influencing the global roadmap.High facilitation and collaboration skills.Other DutiesOther Duties as assignedTechnical & Functional SkillsAbility to work cohesively across departments, building consensus and producing results.Strong project management skills.Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience with software development life cycle.Strong organizational abilities, with a track record of successfully completing data-driven initiatives.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word and comfort with large variety of online meeting tools.Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrated history of teamwork and cross functional collaboration.Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.Minimum QualificationsStrong understanding of relational database concepts.Working knowledge of Salesforce Data/Object model.Some familiarity with cloud base database solutions like Salesforce Data cloud, AWS, Azure, Google, SAP DWC/DataSphere.Some familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, SAC, Power BI.Ability to work closely with data analysts, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Experience in designing, building, and optimizing ETL/ELT data pipelines to process large datasets.Understanding of best practices for data modeling, including star schemas, snowflake schemas, and data normalization techniques.Strong documentation skills for pipeline design and data flow diagrams.Experience with Salesforce integrations, ETL processes and data migration projectsFundamental DevOps Practices, including knowledge of unit testing, CI/CD, and repository management.Some understanding of CAN-SPAM and GDPR and other data privacy regulations.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of SAP, Salesforce and other critical platforms.Travel Requirements5 % TravelPhysical RequirementsThis position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift to twenty-five pounds occasionally.
