- Performing in-depth patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic procedures, and developing personalized care strategies
- Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses both independently and in collaboration with physicians (based on your credentials)
- Guiding patients and their families in matters of prevention, wellness, and chronic condition management
- Prescribing necessary medications and treatment protocols in accordance with the governing regulations
- Engaging in patient follow-up and overseeing chronic care management
- Working alongside cross-functional teams for a comprehensive approach to patient care
- Maintaining precise and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure for the state of Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialized certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure them within 90 days)
- Robust clinical skills complemented by a nurturing disposition
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities with patients, families, and fellow team members
