SUMMARY: Perform cook duties at Patrick Space Force Base: Riverside Dining. Reports to the site leadership team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business need. - Use a full range of quality cooking procedures from common and frequently used new or difficult recipes. Prepare a variety of meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and gravies. - On a day-to-day basis prepare multiple menu items for one meal which involve planning and coordination steps to ensure that all items are ready for serving at the same time. - Keep Shift Supervisor or Cook II informed of overall work operation (e.g., activities, progress, delays). - Assure established safety and housekeeping procedures are followed by all workers on shift. TRAVEL: None. WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE): None PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following: Repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to 40 pounds. SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: - Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes). - Will need to use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated properly and consistently. - Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio-waste hazards). - Required training provided by the company. - Some tasks may be performed independently with little supervision. SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity.
