Southmont is the skilled nursing community on our Washington, PA campus. Our modern, home-like atmosphere provides a comfortable and secure healing environment. Arranged as neighborhoods, our skilled nursing areas offer a wide range of care programs and services for those in need of long-term care. Expert registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and social workers partner with residents, their families, and their doctors to provide personalized care plans. Southmont also provides short-term rehabilitation that can include physical, occupational, and/or speech therapies.
The Cook is responsible for proper preparation of large quantities food items for residents, staff, and visitors of the community. The position serves as assistant to the chef/Head cook operating a full-service commercial kitchen and will occasionally provide supervision to staff in the absence of the dining services director.

Requirements for the Cook:
- Minimum of one year of large quantity cooking experience
- Serve safe certification preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and operating instructions, and to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume.
