Plant Mechanic

Plant Mechanic – Texas Health Resources, 612 E. Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX 76011. Full‑time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (required). Experience: 3+ years in maintenance and repair of equipment and utilities systems (required). Experience in a healthcare environment, HVAC, or high‑rise building preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Valid Class C Driver’s License (required). Skills: Good written and verbal communication; ability to read blueprints and work orders; use hand tools, electrical tools, and related equipment with minimal supervision. Ability to travel, climb stairs and ladders, lift, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, stoop, and stand in cramped spaces. What You Will Do Maintain efficient operation of the facility by identifying equipment operational and maintenance needs. Implement preventive maintenance program for plant equipment, machinery, and related facilities. Record mechanical equipment readings and ensure accuracy of records. Maintain plant safety features. Perform major repair on machinery and the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and mechanical equipment. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; perform rotating on‑call duties as scheduled. Perform routine mechanical, electrical, or machining maintenance activities—lubrication, inspection, replacement of parts, and related plant work activities. Utilize the CMMS to keep accurate records of activities, time, and materials; produce accurate reports of equipment maintenance and performance. Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs, educational opportunities, and training.
