Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6 PM - 6 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years preferred, open to first-time travelers License: State or multistate license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (all AHA) required Must-Have: - Previous travel experience preferred but not required - Ability to work in both Emergency Room and Medical Surgical settings Description: This role requires the RN to float between Emergency Room and Medical Surgical as needed. The RN may encounter diverse cases, with some shifts primarily focused on Medical Surgical. It is important to clearly communicate expectations with the healthcare provider. No mileage restrictions apply. The facility uses Athena as the electronic medical record system. There are no specific scrub color requirements. Covid vaccine exemptions are accepted, and flu vaccination is not mandatory. Nurse-to-patient ratios will typically be around 1:3, with a maximum of 5:1. The unit is supported by LPNs and CNAs, comprising 2 nurses, 1 aid, and 1 staff secretary on the floor.
