Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Critical Care

Location: Washington State

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-Hour (06:30 - 18:00)

Job Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide critical respiratory care services to a diverse patient population, including both adult and pediatric patients, in a Level I Trauma center. The ideal candidate must possess critical care experience within the last 12 months and have RRT credentials with a valid Washington state license. Experience in pediatric care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments and care for patients in the BPICU, SICU, MICU, and NSICU.
• Monitor and manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy.
• Manage and treat patients with tracheostomies, spinal cord injuries, and complex sleep disorders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams.
• Document patient information accurately using the Epic charting system.
• Participate in the care and management of critically injured patients in a busy emergency department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.
• Current RRT credential and valid Washington state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certifications in ACLS, NRP, and PALS preferred.
• Experience with adult trauma and complex medical conditions.
