The Physician provides patient medical care to all age groups in an office-based, multi-specialty group practice. In addition, the Physician provides diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, while making reasonable and sound medical assessments and treatment plans.**Duties and Responsibilities**Duties include, but are not limited to:* Disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery* Treatment of acute illnesses* Treatment of acute injuries* Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene* Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary* Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field* Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals* Performs a variety of tasks* A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected* Provides direction to both clinical and reception support staff* Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy (above 80% with goal of 95%) of E/M coding – and closing/sign off after review of all patient charts in accordance with company policies. Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for productivity/PCN (percent net collection) bonuses* Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy of HCC coding. Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for VBC bonuses* Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned**Qualifications or Education, Training and Experience*** Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)* Licensed in the state of New Jersey* Board certified or Board eligible* Completion of an accredited residency program in area of practice (i.e., family practice, internal medicine, or pediatrics)* DEA controlled substances registration* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED) certification* Successful completion of CHC’s credentialing and privileging review upon hire and recredentialing as appropriate* Strong computer skills with prior electronic medical record (EMR) use preferred* Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, hospital personnel and community members* Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuries* Remains calm and effective in high pressure and emergency situationsThe compensation range for this position is $225,000-$350,000. Compensation is based on level and requirements of the role, as well as percent of net collections.
