Barista Position at Thelma's DeliThe Galt House Hotel is currently seeking someone with an infectious smile, exceptional customer service skills, a professional demeanor and positive attitude to work as a Barista in Thelma's Deli.ResponsibilitiesA successful candidate will support the Galt House Hotel brand by providing our guests with exceptional customer service.Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standardsProperly handle and maintain all equipmentRespond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient mannerAccurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling proceduresServe guests quickly and efficientlyDemonstrate a thorough understanding of all menu offeringsObserve relevant health and safety standardsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or EquivalentPrior customer service experience in a food & beverage settingPrevious cashier experience requiredPrevious kitchen "back line" food preparation experience is requiredFamiliar with operating kitchen equipment such as a baking oven & electric knifeProfessional appearance and demeanorStrong knowledge of the various types of coffee is requiredPrevious barista experience is requiredThe Galt House Hotel offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, 401k, a complimentary meal in associate cafeteria, complimentary parking, a discounted monthly TARC bus pass and more.The statements in this job description are intended to describe the essential nature and level of work being performed.
