Assistant Principal Job Description
Reports to the principal Experience as a middle and/or high school administrator preferred.
Assist the principal with the following:
MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL
- Serves as a member of the school administrative team and assists the principal in developing and implementing procedures, programs, and curriculum activities to foster the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member
- Take a leadership role in guiding curriculum implementation and supervision
- Visit classrooms and complete teacher professional development plans and evaluations using NCEES
- Handle discipline referrals
- Help coordinate Family Nights and other events for various grade levels
- Manage support staff as needed
- Knowledge of Infinite Campus, PowerSchool/Testing, Athletics/Operations, Technology Specialist
