Hours per Shift: 12.5

Experience: 2 years of previous experience required; at least 1 travel contract completed preferred

License: State license in Iowa and Illinois required

Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)

Must-Have:

• Knowledge and experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required
• Experience with medications such as amiodarone, cardizem, nitro, insulin, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, isuprel, milrinone, argatroban, with some titration required
• Profile should include a valid driver's license
• Work history/resume
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date
• License verification
• One supervisory reference required at time of submission
• Must have taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility

Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses. The unit has historically maintained a ratio of 1:7 for patient care. The high volume of open travel needs is a direct response to improve this ratio. The more travelers who fill the vacancies, the lower the patient-to-nurse ratio will be. Travelers will be required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day. Candidates must have a valid state license and meet all certification requirements.
