Responsibilities: Conduct thorough title examinations and prepare title opinions for oil and gas transactions. Provide legal advice regarding land ownership, leasehold interests, and title issues. Review and negotiate oil and gas leases, rights of way, and other agreements. Collaborate with landmen, geologists, and other professionals in the oil and gas industry. Represent the company in legal proceedings, if necessary. Stay updated with changes in laws and regulations affecting the oil and gas industry. Manage relationships with external counsel, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements. Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice law in the state of Texas. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Oil & Gas Title Attorney. Proficient in title examination within the oil and gas industry. Strong understanding of oil and gas law, including leases, contracts, property rights, and environmental regulations. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Proficient in using legal research tools and software. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
