Position Overview

P&G is seeking an experienced Process Manager with strong process development, operational training, and leadership expertise to support papermaking operations at the Green Bay Plant. This role will focus on training new hires, driving operational excellence, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess deep manufacturing experience, strong coaching abilities, and a proven track record of leading teams and implementing process improvements within industrial environments.

Schedule Requirements

• Standard schedule: 3 days per week
• Approximately 6 hours per day (18 hours weekly)
• Minimum commitment of 16 hours per week
• Maximum of 20 hours per week without prior approval
• Schedule may flex based on machine downtime and operational requirements
• Planned vacation time is permitted with prior approval

Key Responsibilities

Operational Training & Development

• Train new employees on papermaking equipment operational standards.
• Train personnel on Continuous Improvement Leadership (CIL) standards.
• Train employees on RLS standards and operating procedures.
• Coach operators on identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting the seven major defect categories.
• Conduct hands-on equipment training and operational assessments.
• Develop operator capability through structured coaching and mentoring.

Process Improvement & Engineering Support

• Design, optimize, and implement manufacturing process improvements.
• Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and operational scalability.
• Develop and execute technical operations roadmaps.
• Lead process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability, and productivity.
• Utilize data and operational metrics to drive decision-making and strategic improvements.
• Distill business and operational requirements into effective technical solutions.

Equipment Reliability & Auditing

• Audit papermaking equipment and systems for operational defects.
• Assist teams in restoring equipment to baseline operating conditions.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis activities.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor operators, technicians, engineers, and support personnel.
• Facilitate problem-solving sessions and continuous improvement activities.
• Support operational escalations through investigation and resolution.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of manufacturing, process development, or engineering experience.
• Previous experience leading teams and operational initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and develop employees.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Experience training operators within manufacturing environments.
• Ability to independently manage priorities and drive results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in paper manufacturing or papermaking operations.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement Leadership (CIL) programs.
• Knowledge of Reliability Loss Standards (RLS).
• Strong understanding of equipment defect identification and corrective actions.
• Experience utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Mechanical and/or electrical technical expertise.
• Experience implementing process optimization and operational excellence programs.
• Background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
