Shipping and Receiving Clerk

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Senior Supply Chain Clerk – Shipping & Receiving to support daily logistics operations at our Northville, MI facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant movement of materials both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail for the campus

• Prepare shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments

• Package, box, and prepare parts for shipment

• Coordinate same-day local deliveries and off-site storage shipments

• Maintain accurate records, shipping documentation, and data entry in SAP

• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness

• Receive packages and promptly notify recipients

• Monitor and maintain inventory of packaging materials

• Control and track transportation costs

• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized shipping/receiving area

• Operate material handling equipment (Hi-Lo / forklift)

• Act as a logistics resource for site-specific shipping processes and providers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous shipping & receiving or logistics experience preferred

• Experience with SAP or similar systems is a plus

• Forklift (Hi-Lo) operation experience required or willingness to train

• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs regularly

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Certifications & Training

• RCRA, DOT, and Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) training required (or ability to obtain)

Work Environment & Expectations

• Fast-paced warehouse and shipping environment

• Requires standing, lifting, and physical activity throughout the shift

• Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
