Must be able to pass all required training required by the school district and the Mississippi Department of Education. Must pass police background records check Must be insurable by local district insurance carrier Must be able to perform preventative maintenance checks Have no known medical history or clinical diagnosis of any condition that could be detrimental to the safety of the students that will be transported Must be willing to submit to and pass drug screening Must be eighteen (18) years of age Must be willing to submit to a Department of Transportation “physical” examination. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Obey all traffic laws Maintain discipline and safety, within the legal limits, while students are on the bus Keep assigned bus clean at all times Transport only authorized students Pick-up and discharge students at authorized bus stops only Notify the proper personnel in the event of mechanical failure Report all accidents and complete the required reports immediately Operate school bus on an assigned schedule daily, never departing a bus stop early Perform a minimum of two (2) school bus evacuation drills each school term, using appropriate emergency procedures Attend a minimum of two (2) hours of in-service training each semester Perform other related duties as requested or assigned by supervisor Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor Length of employment: 10 Months Position Type: Full-Time Contact Information Henry Hampton , Transportation Director WEST TALLAHATCHIE BUS SHOP Phone: View phone number on click.appcast.io Email: View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr
