Senior Java Developer
Work Location & Reporting Address: Raleigh, NC 27604, Atlanta, GA 30303, Charlotte, NC 28202 Is this a hybrid or full onsite set-up? Hybrid (but can become full onsite) Contract duration: 6 months to 1 year Target Start Date: ASAP Does this position require Visa independent candidates only? Yes Interview Process (Is face to face required?): Yes (either of above three locations)
Minimum years of experience required: 6+ Certification needed: No (AWS is preferred though) Must Have Skills: Java, Springboot, Kafka Nice to Have Skills: AWS, MQ
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Java & Spring Boot Developer with strong expertise in building scalable, high-performance microservices and APIs. The ideal candidate should have deep hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and modern distributed architectures, along with excellent communication skills for working in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven services using Kafka
- Ensure application scalability, performance, and security
- Integrate applications with cloud platforms (AWS) and messaging systems (MQ/Kafka)
- Participate in system design, code reviews, and architecture discussions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, QA, and DevOps
- Follow best practices in SDLC, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience in Core Java and Spring Boot Experience with Microservices architecture and REST API development Proficiency in Apache Kafka / messaging systems Good understanding of API design, security, and integration patterns Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with AWS services Knowledge of MQ Exposure to Banking / Financial Services domain Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
