Position Title: On-Call Saturday Tutors Academic Support & Enrichment Programs

Compensation: $25/hour; Saturdays 8am to 1pm

Summary: iLearn Schools is building a pool of on-call Saturday tutors to support students in our Academic Support & Enrichment Programs. Get paid, build your r sum , and gain real classroom experience in an urban public school - while we help prepare you for a career in education.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate students in the College of Science and Mathematics at Montclair State University
Available Saturdays, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM during the program season
Strong content knowledge in math and/or the sciences, and patience with young learners
Interested in teaching, tutoring, or a future career in education

Prior to employment, the following must be addressed:

Required to complete a criminal history background check to prove that the individual has not been convicted of a crime or a disorderly person's offense in accordance with N.J.S.A 18A:6-7.1.-iLearn Schools will reimburse this cost
Provide evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job functions and responsibilities with reasonable accommodation pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 12101 and in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6A:32-6.2.
Pass the state required Mantoux Intradermal Tuberculin Test as required by N.J.A.C. 6A:32-6.3.
A valid driver's license is preferred.

Performance Responsibilities:

The Tutor shall:

Provide small-group and one-on-one academic support in math and science
Support enrichment activities alongside certified iLearn teachers at our NJ & Bronx, NY campuses.
Serve on an on-call basis - you're called for Saturday assignments that match your subject and location
