Overview ProVest is one of the largest legal support services firms in the nation, specializing in the service of process and related services for some of the most prestigious law firms and financial institutions in the country. Each year, we handle thousands of legal documents, including foreclosures, collections, litigation, and civil complaints. We’re currently seeking independent contractors who operate their own process serving business with a tax ID number, or are ready to start one, to join our growing network. Perfect for those who like to stay on the move and solve problems. Responsibilities Use mobile apps and websites to take photos, provide detailed status updates, and generate proofs of service. Possess a personal computer/laptop, printer, scanner, internet access, and a smartphone (iPhone or Android). Communicate in a professional and timely manner with a strong attention to detail to meet strict court deadlines. Be knowledgeable about the court system, legal documents, and local and state laws. Daily Responsibilities May Include Serving legal documents to residences and businesses in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Providing status updates and photos of each attempt via smartphone apps. Ability to electronically sign (esign) or manually sign documents, as well as edit and print proofs of service through our process server case management software. Requesting copies of legal documents from the court when needed. Requirements Process Server Registration. Have reliable transportation and knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
