Pool Maintenance Worker

The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for a Pool Maintenance Worker. Under general supervision, to perform a variety of functions related to the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of swimming pools, pool equipment and surrounding areas. The employee will also participate in routine custodial and grounds maintenance tasks, and do other related work as required. Selection Process: The selection process tentatively consists of the District application review, and interviews. The Human Resources Department will contact all applicants once the selection process has been finalized.

Education and Experience: One (1) year of experience in the operation and maintenance of school or commercial swimming pools and equipment; or successful completion of a certified course in swimming pool maintenance.

Required Licenses and/or Certificates: Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver's License; must have an acceptable driving record and qualify for insurability. Incumbents must possess or be eligible for a pool maintenance certificate issued by the Los Angeles County Health Department. Valid First Aid Certificate and C.P.R. Certificate must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment and maintained in a valid status thereafter. Preferred: Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate upon submission of this application.
