Claims Attorney/Senior Claims Attorney-Environmental Division

Job Title Claims Attorney/Senior Claims Attorney Location & Schedule Hybrid schedule from Exton, PA office. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Assess claims, including liability determination, coverage analysis, and damage evaluation. Assign cases to outside counsel and evaluate their performance. Develop, prepare, and implement claims litigation strategy, including affecting settlements/reserves within prescribed limits. Work toward the resolution of claims files and attend arbitrations, mediations or trials as necessary, but is not attorney of record. Ensure compliance of claims handling pursuant to all state, legal, statutory, and regulatory bodies. Provide oversight and supervision to outside counsel on claims‑related litigation. Possibly provide performance and coaching of staff and have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements LLM (Master of Law) or JD (Juris Doctorate) and current attorney license required. Minimum 6 years of legal or claims experience. Environmental experience required. Ability to work within significant limits and authority on assignments of higher technical complexity and coordination. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling procedures. Up‑to‑date knowledge of industry laws and regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build relationships. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
