Our team is searching for a Software Engineer who’ll be an integral part of a team of other software engineers, network and systems engineers to design, implement, and deploy software that meets customer requirements, scales easily, removes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. You’ll actively participate in the architecture and design of various software components focused on creating applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization, micro‑services, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms and technologies. We work on technical assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations. We also work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative, understanding implications of work and making recommendations for solutions. Technical Engineering Services Drives engineering projects by developing software solutions; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations. Encouraged to supervise base and associate‑level engineers as needed. Understands system protocols, how systems operate, and data flows. Innovation Contributes to designs to implement new ideas which use new frameworks to improve an existing or new system, process, or service. Reviews existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete existing workload more effectively through industry perspectives. Understands the creation of company IPR. Communication and Development Collaborates with technical teams and applies system expertise to deliver technical solutions. Continuously learns existing and new technologies. Chips in with the development of others through mentoring or in‑house workshops and learning sessions. Technology Strategy Contributes to new and existing technology options that support business goals. Understands current technology that supports business goals. Technical Writing Writes basic documentation on how technology works; builds clear documentation for new code and systems used. Documents systems designs, presentations, and business requirements for consumption and consideration at the manager level. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 2–4 years technical engineering experience. Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA. Expertise in Angular 8+, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS. Hands‑on experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or Oracle; ability to build and handle scalable, secure, and highly available databases using Amazon RDS with PostgreSQL. Deep understanding of SQL syntax, including DDL, DML, and different types of joins; proficiency in writing stored procedures, functions, and views using PL/pgSQL. Familiarity with PostgreSQL features, extensions, and standard processes; knowledge of PostgreSQL index types, CTE, temporary tables, table partitioning, and data types such as JSON, JSONB, and BYTEA. Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and Docker. Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). Builds RESTful APIs and integrates with third‑party services. Analytical thinking; collaboration; continuous development; DevOps; emerging technologies; programming languages; software design; software development; technology development; test evaluation. Required Education Bachelor’s degree plus three years of related work experienceORadvanced degree with one year of related work experience. Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or Engineering. At least 18 years of age. Legally authorized to work in the United States.
