Company Description The Shrewsbury Club is a 100,000 sq ft full-service tennis and health club offering extensive sports, fitness, and wellness amenities. Role Description The Director of Tennis is a full-time, on-site role based at The Shrewsbury Club in Shrewsbury, MA. This role oversees all aspects of the tennis program, including coaching, clinics, leagues, and camps for players of all ages and skill levels. Daily responsibilities include managing tennis staff, creating and scheduling programs, organizing events and tournaments, and ensuring an excellent member experience on and off the court. The Director of Tennis monitors court utilization, maintains standards for safety and instruction quality, and collaborates with club management on marketing, membership initiatives, and program promotion. The role also involves contributing to budget planning for the tennis department and maintaining strong communication with members, staff, and leadership. Requirements Must have two or more years of tennis pro experience with managerial responsibilities. Always embody an enthusiastic, friendly, humble, and positive manner. Possess a NTRP rating of 4.5 or higher with collegiate playing experience Hold and maintain at least one nationally recognized certification in tennis. PTR or USTA. Candidates should possess strong tennis-related skills, including Tennis Instruction and Tennis knowledge for players at varying ages and skill levels. Candidates should possess Program Management skills to design, schedule, and oversee diverse tennis offerings. Candidates should possess/have experience with budgeting skills to manage tennis department finances and exceed revenue goals. Candidates should possess Event Planning skills to coordinate tournaments, special events, and member activities. Relevant leadership experience in a club, academy, or sports environment, with the ability to supervise and mentor tennis coaching staff. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with a focus on member engagement and satisfaction.
