Nurse Practitioner

Location Geisinger Primary Care, Elysburg, PA Job Summary Geisinger is seeking an experienced or new graduate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Primary Care team in Elysburg, PA. The site qualifies for a $20k recruitment incentive for an experienced provider and $15k for a new graduate. Responsibilities Provide extended appointment times: 40 minutes for medically complex patients, 20 minutes for average complexity and acute care visits. Collaborate with a physician/APP panel sharing model; participate in daily huddles with care team members. Work with a comprehensive support team including pharmacists for medication management, care managers, health managers, clinic health associates, and coding educators. Assist with centralized prescription refill team via nurse call center to support on‑call workload. Utilize Epic EMR with ambient dictation; expanded access to care through eVisits, patient portals, and Geisinger ConvenientCare urgent care clinics. Participate in advancing professional growth through the Primary Care Archetype Model, Advanced Practice Council, and internal professional development programs. Qualifications & Experience Master’s Degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or completion of an approved Physician Assistant program. Current Pennsylvania state licensure as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant; current NCCPA certification or eligibility. Basic Life Support certification. Ability to see and treat all age ranges from pediatric to geriatric. Experience in collaborative care models preferred.
