Details Work in the ICU of a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:2 Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Weekend shifts required Required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals if needed Epic charting system preferred Requirements Active RN license in South Carolina (Standard or Compact) required at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Proficient in IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line care Experience with continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients Experience interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs) Proficient in suctioning (ETT, NT) Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and PPE use Two supervisory references required Copy of certifications required for consideration Additional Information Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients, including cardiac, respiratory, and multisystem support Expect to work some holidays during the assignment RTO should be kept to a minimum, with no time off preferred during the first two weeks of the assignment or full calendar weeks off during the assignment Any RTO must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at local rate Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 5 years to be eligible to return as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-739261.
