Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse, ER The organization is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to provide acute care in a busy trauma and stroke receiving center. The role involves managing a diverse patient population, including pediatric, cardiac, trauma, and general emergency cases, with a focus on rapid assessment and treatment during overnight shifts.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 10/12/2026 to 01/11/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications. The candidate must have at least 2 years of ER experience, with a valid license to practice.
• Additional Information: Candidates must pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia test (83%) before signing the contract, with three attempts allowed. Call outs are discouraged, and travel nurses may be asked to precept. The ER handles approximately 70 patients per day with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 depending on acuity, and employs various monitoring and airway management devices. The facility has a Level III trauma designation, with separate triage area and emergency holds, and in-house security.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric trauma, familiarity with Meditech charting system, and comfort with troubleshooting respiratory equipment.
