Otolaryngologist Head and Neck Oncology Specialist
Job Type: Full Time (1.0 FTE) Place of Performance: Oklahoma City VA Health Care System, 921 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Otolaryngology.
- Fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology.
- Current unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Credentialing and privileging approval by VA Medical Executive Board.
- Proficiency in English for clinical care and medical documentation.
Duties:
- Provide outpatient and surgical services for veterans with head and neck cancers.
- Perform complex oncologic surgeries, including thyroid, salivary gland, laryngeal, skull base, and free flap reconstructive procedures.
- Manage cases of benign and malignant tumors of the oral cavity, pharynx, and neck.
- Perform laryngectomies, tracheostomies, esophageal dilations, and reconstructive procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive cancer care.
- Maintain documentation in VA's electronic health records and ensure compliance with patient privacy regulations.
- Uphold standards of care consistent with the Joint Commission and VA policies.
