Kimco is recruiting  Assemblers for a manufacturing company in Ontario

 

Monday-Friday 
7:30 am-4 pm
Pay Rate: $16.90 - $17.00 

Summary: 

The basic function of the General Assembly worker is to perform all tasks, that focus on preparing packages for shipment from the manufacturing side of the business and pulling inventory for orders in the distribution side of the business. This position assists in the completion of processing production orders and working closely with the Machine Operators to fulfill the job requirements as stated on the work instructions.   He/she needs to be capable and qualified to perform the function in a safe and proficient manner under the supervision of the Production Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Material Preparation per (MOP) including but not limited to the following: 

• Sorting
• Cleaning
• Counting
• Labeling/Tagging
• Assembling of parts / pieces
• Packaging/Boxing 

Skills & Qualifications: 

•    Proficient in English (ability to read & write) 
•    Basic Computer Skills/Data Entry required. 
•    Ability to perform basic mathematics including conversions 
•    Knowledgeable using Measuring Tools such as Calipers & Tape Measures 
•    Competent to work independently  
•    Communicate effectively, and problem solve spontaneously
•    Willing to learn and always be a Team Player. 
•    Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. 
•    High School/GED required 
•    Overtime is possible with little to no advanced notice.
