We’re looking for someone who:

• Process accurate and timely payrolls for Kingdom One and multiple ministry partners, including regular payroll cycles, off-cycle payrolls, and payroll adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, tax, and wage and hour regulations.
• Administer payroll deductions, benefit integrations, garnishments, tax reporting, and year-end payroll activities.
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries with a high level of customer service.
• Support payroll system implementations, upgrades, process improvements, and HRIS transitions.
• Maintain payroll records, reporting, and data integrity across payroll systems.
• Support HR functions related to payroll, including onboarding, offboarding, employee data management, compensation changes, and leave administration.
• Partner with HR teams and ministry leaders to ensure accurate employee records, classifications, and pay practices.
• Assist with HR compliance initiatives, audits, reporting, and documentation.
• Provide training and support to internal teams and ministry partners on payroll and HR systems, processes, and best practices.
• Maintain current knowledge of payroll regulations, employment laws, and HR compliance requirements.
• Serve as a trusted payroll and HR resource for multiple ministry partners, delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships.
• Assess ministry payroll and HR processes and recommend best-practice solutions to improve efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.
• Participate in ministry consulting projects, including payroll audits, HR assessments, compliance reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members to support the growth, development, and continuous improvement of Kingdom One's Payroll Service Line.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects and organizational initiatives that support Kingdom One's mission and ministry partners.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Our ideal candidate:

• 5 to 10 years of experience in payroll processing, with demonstrated HR Generalist experience.
  
• Experience in a non-profit organization, religious church, camp, or school preferred.
  
• Strong working knowledge of payroll best practices, wage and hour laws, and employment regulations.
  
• Experience with Payroll & HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity, Paychex, Paycom, ADP).
  
• Solid understanding of HR fundamentals including employee records, onboarding/offboarding, and compensation practices.
  
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  
• Proficient in MS Office or G-Suite systems.
  
• High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  

Physical Requirements:
May sit for extended periods of time with limited walking, standing, stooping, or bending. May occasionally lift or move up to 15 lbs.
