Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join a vibrant healthcare team in the Midwest region. In this role, you will be instrumental in diagnosing and monitoring heart conditions by performing high-quality echocardiographic imaging. Collaborating closely with cardiologists and other medical professionals, your expertise will help guide patient care and treatment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform adult echocardiograms, including exercise and pharmacological stress tests, transesophageal, and limited pediatric studies, following established protocols.
• Utilize 2D, color flow, spectral Doppler imaging, and ultrasound enhancing agents to capture detailed cardiac images.
• Evaluate cardiac disease states by interpreting hemodynamic data and accurately measuring echocardiographic structures.
• Input diagnostic data into cardiac reporting systems and communicate critical findings to the healthcare team.
• Provide compassionate patient education and support to ensure comfort and understanding during procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in cardiac ultrasound technology and best practices.

Education and Certification:

• Associate's degree in a relevant field or completion of an accredited echocardiography program.
• Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography (AE) through ARDMS or as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligibility upon hire with commitment to certification within 12 months.

• Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound technology.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
