Senior Accountant

Alliance Resource Group is partnering with a publicly traded, multi-entity company in its search for a Senior Accountant. Schedule: Hybrid, Monday–Thursday onsite; remote Fridays Compensation: $95,000–$105,000 base + bonus eligibility + benefits A growing, publicly traded company is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This is a high‑visibility role supporting month‑end close, corporate GL accounting, lease accounting, accruals, reconciliations, audit requests, and process improvement initiatives. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys the details of accounting, wants exposure to SEC-level reporting and audit support, and can work cross‑functionally with teams across real estate, construction, AP, operations, and finance. What You’ll Do Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process Support corporate‑level accruals, including utilities, telecom, lease‑related expenses, and other operating accounts Review and process information from internal teams and external service providers Support lease accounting activities, including review of lease agreements, lease classifications, system‑driven calculations, related entries, reconciliations, and audit support Assist with quarterly and annual audit requests, including PBC schedules and supporting documentation Partner with cross‑functional teams to gather information, resolve issues, and improve processes Help identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, especially within ERP/system‑driven processes Serve as a technical resource to staff accountants on the team, including areas such as fixed assets, inventory, accruals, and reconciliations Support special projects as the accounting function continues to evolve What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong GL accounting foundation, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month‑end close Strong understanding of GAAP Experience in a public company, audit environment, multi‑unit business, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or real estate‑heavy company is a plus Lease accounting / ASC 842 exposure is helpful but not required Experience with ERP systems; Workday Financials is a plus Experience with lease accounting, fixed asset, or other system‑driven accounting processes is a plus Strong Excel skills and ability to work with data from multiple sources Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Clear communication skills and comfort working cross‑functionally Someone who is hands‑on, curious, collaborative, and able to work through imperfect processes or systems #J-18808-Ljbffr Alliance Resource Group
