Job Description

This role focuses heavily on tracking ocean containers, managing port and rail ramps, coordinating drayage dispatches, and communicating timely status updates to clients and trucking teams. You will navigate terminal availability, per diem/demurrage tracking, and appointment setups while working overnight shifts matching US Pacific business hours.

What you'll be doing:

• Container Tracking: Monitor ocean container movements, steamship line (SSL) websites, and port terminal statuses (pierpass, last free day, and availability).
• Drayage Coordination: Coordinate empty returns, chassis usage, and delivery appointments between dispatchers, drivers, and consignees.
• Client Updates: Proactively notify clients regarding container status, customs holds, exam notifications, or terminal congestion delays.
• Dispute & Exception Handling: Troubleshoot gate issues, driver wait times, or billing/per diem questions with internal California staff.
• Documentation Support: Process interchange receipts (IRs), bill of lading (BOL) details, and delivery orders accurately in the system.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of customer service or logistics experience with a strong preference for US container drayage, import/export operations, or port trucking environments.
• Communication: Professional, polished English written and verbal communication skills to interact confidently with US-based clients and truckers.
• Schedule Alignment: Fully committed to working standard PST business hours on a graveyard/night shift schedule in Philippine Standard Time.
• Technical Setup: High-speed, stable fiber internet, backup power/internet configuration, and a professional distraction-free workspace.
• Tech Skills: Quick learner with transportation management systems (TMS), port portals (e.g., PierPass, eModal concepts), and spreadsheets.
