Critical Care - Intensivist - Physician

Clinical Practice Highlights Physicians provide care for a diverse and highly complex patient population, including: Care of critically ill trauma, acute care surgery, and emergency general surgery patients in a high-volume tertiary and quaternary referral center Extensive experience managing complex blunt and penetrating trauma at a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center Comprehensive postoperative management of complex surgical, transplant, and critically ill patients Cardiothoracic and surgical ICU care, including heart, lung, liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant populations Participation in one of the region's leading advanced mechanical support programs, including VV‑ECMO, VA‑ECMO, ECPR, LVADs, RVADs, Impella devices, and other temporary mechanical circulatory support technologies Academic Environment Baylor University Medical Center serves as a major teaching and referral center with active residency and fellowship programs. Candidates should have an interest in academic medicine through teaching, mentorship, quality improvement, research, leadership, or program development.
