Shipping Clerk

Job Description

• Prepare Shipments: Pack products securely into boxes or containers, ensuring items are protected against damage during transit.
• Verify Orders: Check outgoing items against shipping logs, invoices, or customer orders to ensure accuracy.
• Label & Document: Generate shipping labels, print packing slips, and prepare necessary customs or freight paperwork.
• Manage Inventory Data: Update internal tracking software and warehouse management systems as orders are shipped out.
• Coordinate Logistics: Load outgoing trucks, schedule pickups, and collaborate with mail and freight carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL, or LTL trucking companies).
• Maintain Safety & Organization: Keep the shipping and staging areas clean, organized, and stocked with packaging supplies (boxes, tape, bubble wrap).

Key Skills Required

• High attention to detail to prevent shipping errors.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy packages (often up to 50 lbs).
• Basic computer proficiency for tracking systems and label printing
