The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to multitask, and enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment.Position RequirementsWorking knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.Experience working in benefits management.Experience working with accounting and payroll software.Required SkillsExcellent attention to detailExceptional mathematical and calculation skillsKnowledge of different types of payroll softwareKnowledge of payroll, garnishments and benefits distributionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsGood research and analysis skillsDuties/ResponsibilitiesPayroll: Collecting timesheet data and payroll information.Entering data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs.Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.Preparing and processing paychecksMaintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.Preparing and distributing income statements.Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations.Preparing financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management.Quickbook experience a plusBenefits: Ensuring employees know what benefits are offered by the company.Assisting employees with the enrollment process for savings and insurance schemes.Answering any questions employees have about their benefits.Communicating with insurance and savings providers to resolve issues.Conducting presentations that educate employees about their benefits.Informing employees about any changes to the benefits structure.Ensuring the company's benefits and leave-of-absence policies comply with the law.Keeping up-to-date records of each employee's benefits profile.Calculating what the cost to company is for each benefit offered.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk & working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 lbs at timesDocuments RequiredDriver's License/IdentificationSocial Security Card/Birth CertificateMUST have reliable transportationPay$17.00 - $20.00 (DOE)Weekly PayPay Schedule: Monday - SundayScheduleMonday - Friday8 AM - 4 PM (Monday - Thursday)8 AM - 3 PM (Friday)Duration of Job3-5 Months
