CVEAS is certified MWBE/MBE, Micro SB, and is a member of BBB and ASCE/CLSA. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Land Surveyor role based in Selma, CA. The Land Surveyor will perform field surveys for a variety of projects, including boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys, using total stations, GPS, and related surveying instruments. Responsibilities include collecting and verifying field data, setting stakes and markers, preparing and reviewing survey notes, and coordinating with project engineers, designers, and CAD staff to ensure accurate site information. The role also involves interpreting plans and specifications, assisting with survey calculations, maintaining equipment, and complying with all safety and quality standards. The Land Surveyor will collaborate closely with team members and project managers to deliver timely, professional surveying services that support engineering and architectural design. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Land Surveying and Surveying principles, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. Hands‑on experience with Topographic Surveys and Building Surveying for engineering and architectural projects. Practical experience operating Total Station equipment and related survey instruments (e.g., GPS, data collectors). Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural plans, plats, and legal descriptions. Familiarity with CAD or CADD software and digital data collection workflows is preferred. Relevant education or training in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering technology, or a related field; professional licensure or LSIT/LSI is a plus. Strong math, problem‑solving, and documentation skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform outdoor fieldwork in varying conditions, lift and carry equipment, and follow safety protocols.
