Apply soon before it closes Description American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active CA RN license and 2+ years of MS/Tele experience. Details Acute care Magnet, Teaching, Level II Trauma Center hospital setting MS/Tele unit with potential to float to other ICU/Tele units as well as MS/Tele Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) No on‑call requirements No specific schedule requests or block scheduling accommodated Uses Cerner charting system Requirements Active CA RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred, though candidates with strong experience and less tenure may be considered Prior travel nursing experience preferred, though candidates with strong experience may be considered Skills in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management required ICU experience and Level I Trauma experience preferred Documentation required for consideration includes DOB, RTO, valid state license, certification copies, references, and COVID vaccination status Additional Information Provide medical‑surgical and telemetry nursing care within an acute care hospital environment Strict dress code enforced: no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos covered, no visible piercings other than earrings, and earrings must not extend beyond the earlobe or be hoops Scrubs may be any color except camouflage or character patterns Orientation includes required training modules averaging 3-6 hours depending on specialty Up to 5 days of requested time off and 1 approved holiday off during the assignment Three missed shifts may result in cancellation of the assignment First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at standard rate Previous facility staff must have separated from employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Free parking available on site These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
