Head of Marketing

Posted 6 months ago San Francisco, CA full-time About This Role Build and lead Avala's marketing function from the ground up. You'll define the brand, drive demand generation, and position Avala as the category leader in Physical AI data infrastructure — reaching VP/CTO buyers at autonomous vehicle, robotics, and defense companies. What You'll Do: Define Avala's brand narrative and positioning in the Physical AI market Build and execute multi-channel demand generation programs (content, events, developer marketing) Create technical content that resonates with ML engineers and perception teams Plan and execute Avala's presence at industry events (CVPR, NeurIPS, Autonomy conferences) Build the marketing team from 1 to 4+ people over the next 12 months Partner closely with sales to optimize pipeline and conversion metrics Requirements: 7+ years in B2B marketing with at least 3 years in developer tools, ML, or robotics Experience marketing technical infrastructure products to engineering buyers Track record of building demand generation engines from early stage to scale Strong technical writing ability — you can explain complex technology clearly Experience with both product-led growth and enterprise sales marketing Nice to Have: Network in the autonomous vehicle or robotics ecosystem Experience marketing to defense or government buyers Background in content creation (blog, video, podcast) B2B SaaS Growth Technical Writing What We Offer Competitive salary and meaningful equity in the team building Fleet Learning Infrastructure for Physical AI Full health, dental, and vision coverage, plus FSA and unlimited PTO Work on the closed-loop data infrastructure that the next generation of autonomous systems learns from A team that built Tesla Autopilot's data infrastructure, now building something bigger #J-18808-Ljbffr Avala
