Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)Under the direction of the radiologist, performs appropriate diagnostic exams and studies to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.Key responsibilities include:Administering ionizing radiation for diagnosisUsing professional judgment to adapt imaging proceduresSelecting appropriate patient care plansMonitoring patients and equipment during proceduresDocumenting patient and exam occurrencesQualifications include:Graduate of Radiologic Technologist programCurrent registration and licensure by the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS)Current registration and licensure by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)American Heart Association BLSSpecial position requirements include:Exposure Category I: routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissuesOther potential hazards: exposure to chemical, biological, and radioactive substances; possible exposure to hostile individualsWork requirements include:Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneouslyEffective oral and written communication skillsAble to manage technical business equipmentAble to assist with the movement/manipulation of a patient and equipment weighing up to and over 300 lbsAble to care for patients with infectious diseasesAble to sit, stand, walk, and bend for the duration of the scheduled shiftAble to demonstrate concentration and visual and auditory acuity to watch monitors and follow instructions during exams
