C172 CFI

Eastern Kentucky University

The CFI will provide flight, simulator, and ground instruction in accordance with Part 61 FAA regulations, FAA Airmen’s Information Manual, advisory circulars, airport operations, and EKU policies and procedures. Schedule students, maintain training records, and ensure that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student in the Private Pilot, Commercial, and Flight Instructor training courses.

Requirements

  • **Education**
  • High School diploma is required.
  • **Experience**
  • FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI) – Airplane Single Engine is required.
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate – Airplane Single Engine Land is required.
  • 200+ hours of flight time is required.
  • **Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the Cessna 172 or other high-wing, fixed tricycle-gear training aircraft is preferred.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
