Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility in the United States. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. The assignment offers an opportunity to contribute to patient safety and safety-focused practices within a supportive environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) prior to first shift. A minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience; additional requirements include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or equivalent, and the ability to work in the specified geographic location.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting.
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop personalized care plans. Documents assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely. Initiates discharge planning from the day of admission and provides patient education to prepare for discharge. Communicates patient status changes effectively among care team members to ensure continuity of care and patient safety. Provides supervision and delegation to ancillary nursing staff, ensures safety compliance, and contributes to team building efforts. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities after orientation and actively pursues professional development through continuing education. Prioritizes patient needs efficiently while managing supplies and equipment to support quality outcomes.
