Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Project Manager to provide day-to-day project leadership and execution support across a large-scale Supply Chain Transformation initiative. Unlike a narrowly focused warehouse project role, this position will provide oversight across multiple interconnected supply chain workstreams, including governance, warehousing, category management and contracts, and broader transformation activities .

The Project Manager will be responsible for creating structure across the initiative, maintaining visibility into priorities and dependencies, driving cross-functional follow-through, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring that individual workstreams remain aligned to the overall transformation roadmap. This person will work closely with supply chain leadership, warehouse operations, category management, procurement, business stakeholders, project teams, vendors, and other transformation partners.

The ideal candidate is a practical, highly organized project leader with strong supply chain experience who can move comfortably between strategic program discussions and detailed day-to-day execution. This role requires someone who can manage multiple concurrent workstreams, identify risks and dependencies early, communicate effectively with senior leadership, and maintain momentum in an evolving transformation environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Transformation Project Leadership

• Provide day-to-day project management across multiple Supply Chain Transformation workstreams.

• Coordinate activities spanning governance, warehousing, category management, contracts, and related supply chain improvement initiatives.

• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and action items.

• Ensure individual workstreams remain aligned with broader transformation objectives, timelines, and priorities.

• Translate transformation goals into structured execution plans with clear owners, dates, and expected outcomes.

• Maintain visibility into progress across the organization and escalate issues that could impact delivery.

Governance & Program Coordination

• Support development and execution of governance processes across the Supply Chain Transformation initiative.

• Establish clear meeting cadences, reporting processes, decision-making structures, and escalation paths.

• Maintain RAID logs, decision logs, action trackers, milestone plans, and other project governance documentation.

• Prepare materials for governance meetings, leadership reviews, and workstream discussions.

• Ensure decisions, dependencies, risks, and actions are documented and followed through to closure.

• Help create consistency in how transformation workstreams are managed and reported.

Warehousing & Operational Transformation

• Coordinate warehouse-related initiatives within the broader supply chain transformation portfolio.

• Partner with warehouse and supply chain stakeholders to track priorities, operational improvements, system dependencies, and implementation activities.

• Support initiatives related to inventory processes, material flow, warehouse technology, data quality, and operational effectiveness.

• Identify dependencies between warehouse initiatives and procurement, category management, technology, engineering, and other business functions.

• Help ensure operational teams are prepared for process and technology changes.

Category Management & Contract Workstreams

• Provide project management support for category management and contract-related initiatives.

• Coordinate with procurement, sourcing, category leaders, legal, business stakeholders, and vendors as needed.

• Track milestones, risks, decisions, and dependencies associated with sourcing and contracting activities.

• Support alignment between category strategies, operational requirements, and broader transformation priorities.

• Help identify issues that require leadership decisions or cross-functional resolution.

Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management

• Serve as a central coordination point across supply chain leadership, warehouse operations, procurement, category management, IT, engineering, finance, vendors, and other stakeholders.

• Facilitate meetings and working sessions designed to drive decisions and maintain execution momentum.

• Clarify ownership and ensure cross-functional actions are completed on time.

• Identify competing priorities or dependencies across workstreams and work with stakeholders to resolve them.

• Build strong working relationships across business functions and levels of leadership.

Project Reporting & Executive Communication

• Prepare concise, executive-ready project updates, dashboards, milestone summaries, and risk reports.

• Provide leadership with clear visibility into progress, upcoming decisions, dependencies, and areas of concern.

• Communicate complex supply chain issues in a clear and actionable manner.

• Support steering committee, governance, and leadership reporting requirements.

• Ensure project information remains accurate, current, and aligned across stakeholders.

Risk, Issue & Dependency Management

• Proactively identify project risks, operational issues, dependencies, and resource constraints.

• Develop mitigation plans and track actions through resolution.

• Escalate critical risks or decisions to appropriate leaders in a timely manner.

• Maintain awareness of how changes in one workstream may affect other areas of the supply chain transformation.

• Support rapid problem-solving when priorities or project conditions change.

Change & Implementation Support

• Support implementation readiness for new supply chain processes, systems, governance practices, and operating models.

• Coordinate with change management, business leaders, and operational teams to ensure stakeholders are prepared for upcoming changes.

• Help track communications, training, readiness, and adoption needs associated with project implementation.

• Support stabilization and follow-through after major transformation milestones.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Coordinate work across governance, warehousing, category management/contracts, and transformation workstreams.

• Maintain integrated project plans, action trackers, risk logs, and milestone reporting.

• Meet with workstream leads to review priorities, progress, blockers, and dependencies.

• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and drive action items to closure.

• Prepare leadership presentations, status updates, and executive summaries.

• Identify risks or issues requiring escalation and coordinate mitigation activities.

• Track implementation readiness and ensure project teams remain aligned to transformation priorities.

• Adjust project plans as organizational priorities and transformation needs evolve.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of project or program management experience, preferably within supply chain, procurement, warehousing, operations, logistics, or a related environment.

• Strong experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams within a complex transformation or operational improvement initiative.

• Demonstrated understanding of supply chain processes and how warehousing, procurement, category management, contracts, systems, and operations interact.

• Experience creating and managing integrated project plans, roadmaps, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and action plans.

• Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and facilitation skills.

• Experience preparing executive-level project reporting and presentations.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively with senior leadership, operational teams, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

• Ability to operate independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the broader project team.

• Ability to adapt quickly as priorities, scope, or project needs change.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale supply chain transformation initiatives.

• Experience within utilities, energy, infrastructure, industrial, or other complex operating environments.

• Exposure to warehouse transformation, inventory management, procurement, sourcing, category management, or contract management initiatives.

• Experience working with SAP or other enterprise supply chain platforms.

• Experience coordinating external vendors and implementation partners.

• Experience within formal PMO or transformation governance structures.

• PMP or other formal project management certification.

• Familiarity with change management and business readiness activities.
