Come join the growing field of cannabis! We are searching for a full time Lead Budtender for High Plainz Strains of Ault!

This is a full time position, regularly scheduled ~30-35 hours per week, with overtime when needed. Typically schedule for 5 shifts per week. This position requires open availability, since the store will be open from 9:00am - 9:00pm daily, including holidays and weekends. The only day the store is closed is Christmas Day.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in diverse areas, such as customer service and cash handling. Previous experience in retail management would be a significant advantage, and familiarity with the cannabis industry is highly desirable. We seek someone with a positive attitude who enjoys interacting with both customers and team members, and who is organized and adaptable in a dynamic environment. As we operate in a highly regulated industry, adherence to rules, regulations, and established SOPs is essential. High ethical standards are crucial, given the daily handling of both product and cash.

Pay - this position starts at $17/hour plus tips.

Basic Functions of the Job

• Oversees daily operations during shifts, ensuring all team members receive their scheduled breaks and lunches.
• Manages discounts and pricing adjustments through the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Maintains store cleanliness and organization, ensuring it is ready for customers during opening and closing shifts, and keeps it tidy throughout the day.
• Opens the store when needed, preparing and counting cash drawers for the day.
• Closes the store when needed, balancing cash in drawers, the safe, and the ATM.
• Addresses and resolves escalated customer service issues.
• Ensures compliance with all regulations set by the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED).
• Monitors and records cash movements between drawers and the safe, including payments for supplies.
• Counts and logs all tips at the end of each shift, ensuring the Front Desk Receptionist receives their share.

Ideal Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in retail and cash handling is a significant advantage!
• Experience in the cannabis industry is highly desirable!
• Strong ability to accurately count both paper money and coins is essential.
• Exceptional customer service skills are required.
• Effective communication skills with both customers and employees are necessary.
• Ability to motivate staff to stay focused, deliver excellent customer service, and promote our products is crucial.
• Willingness and capability to delegate tasks to staff to ensure the store remains clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift
