With over 14 years of involvement in our community, our counselors are booked up to 3 months in advance. We offer an administrative team to oversee scheduling and billing, benefits, credentialling to all the major insurance companies, and we fully furnish offices for each of our counselors. Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate Mental Health Therapist to be responsible for diagnosing and treating mental health disorders for individuals, groups, or families. The mental health therapists' responsibilities also include referring clients to specialists, monitoring progress during treatment, and creating a comfortable environment for clients. We expect our mental health therapists to be professional and to keep all client information confidential. A good mental health therapist remains professional yet empathetic and makes clients feel at ease during all phases of treatment. Key Responsibilities: Provide counseling services to individuals, groups or families on an outpatient basis Conduct intake, mental health, and substance abuse assessments (as appropriate per licensure/credentials) and make appropriate referrals Create treatment plans based on individual client needs and monitor client progress during treatment Maintain complete and up-to-date electronic health records for all clients Attend individual supervision, team meetings, client staffing meetings, clinical consultations, counseling and clinical team meetings and other appropriate meetings as assigned Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field Licensed in Kentucky Clinical counseling experience working with children and/or families Experience identifying and implementing evidence-based practices while working with children, individuals across the lifespan Demonstrated ability to develop positive and collaborative relationships with clients, families, colleagues and others in the human services field Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work within a faith community Schedule: Full time or part time Let us handle the stress of a private practice so you can focus on your clients! #J-18808-Ljbffr NEWSONG COUNSELING CENTER INC
