Duties and Responsibilities Conduct initial dental assessments and prepare patient for dental examinations. Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride treatment, and sealant application. Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as required. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene strategies to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Record and maintain accurate patient dental histories and documentation. Implement appropriate infection control procedures and maintain hygiene equipment. Collaborate with dentists to plan and provide effective patient treatment plans. Monitor and ensure patient comfort during dental procedures. Participate in team meetings and training opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated with the latest practices in dental hygiene. Assist in the management of medical and dental emergencies. Provide supportive and compassionate care to patients, ensuring a positive dental visit experience. Requirements Associate's Degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution. Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Massachusetts. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental office setting preferred. Proficiency in using dental technology and computer systems. Strong understanding of dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and oral anatomical structures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Committed to continuous education and training in dental practice. Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team and independently with minimal supervision. Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality care.
