Responsibilities Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and fulfilling their dreams with a person-centered focus. Teach independent living and daily skills to the persons served by identifying and meeting social, environmental, and health care needs such as daily grooming and personal care routines. Actively plan, coordinate, and participate with residents in social activities including frequent community outings. Instruct, support, and participate in performing household tasks with persons served such as cleaning, preparing meals, food shopping, etc. Who You Will Be Supporting Transitioning adult Has traveled to 10 countries Loves being active and heavily engaged in the community Participates in dance classes, swimming, Zumba, cheerleading, night to shine dances, and is open to learning new interests Has an important interest in being pretty and "cute" Qualifications Earned high school diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution. Valid driver’s license. Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided. Experience in a residential setting serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or other special needs populations (rehabilitation settings, nursing homes, psychiatric hospitals, other behavioral health settings, etc.).
