Outpatient Physical Therapist

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring effective design of functional treatment programs to facilitate their return to community activities. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and the development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients, utilizing clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner compliant with state, federal, and clinic guidelines.
• Participate in the student program, providing a positive learning environment and appropriate supervision.
• Create and pursue an individualized professional development plan, actively engaging in continuing education and professional activities.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and adhere to ethical standards and the discipline-specific professional code of conduct.
• Engage in performance improvement methodologies to enhance service quality and support organizational improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR Certification.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule.
