You will communicate effectively with patients, providers, and coworkers to enhance the overall patient experience.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform patient care tasks and carry out provider orders accurately and promptly.Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring all necessary consents are obtained.Notify patients of test results as directed by providers.Document patient complaints, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to legal guidelines.Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.Coordinate referrals and ensure timely processing of consults, exams, and diagnostics.Manage exam room supplies, medication samples, and maintain cleanliness and infection control standards.Participate in special projects and support a positive, collaborative work environment.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.Licenses and CertificationsCurrent Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.Skills and AbilitiesStrong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently with good judgment.Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and fostering effective teamwork.Work EnvironmentThis full-time position involves 10-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek.
