Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to inpatient rehabilitation patients ages 18 and older, including those recovering from post-surgical hip and knee procedures, stroke, and traumatic brain injury (TBI)
• Manage a patient ratio of 6-7 patients per nurse within a 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation unit
• Document patient care and assessments using Cerner EHR
• Float between the main nursing station and north nursing station as needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support individualized patient recovery plans

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact license eligibility
• Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience
• Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) experience is required
• Medical-surgical nursing experience
• Ability to wear royal blue scrubs and closed-toe, non-slip shoes (no Crocs)

• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records
• Background working with neurological, spinal cord injury, amputation, or orthopedic rehabilitation patient populations

• Work in a state-of-the-art, specialized inpatient acute rehabilitation environment focused on restoring patient independence and quality of life
