Our organization is in search of a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Neurohospitalist for an inpatient-only role. This position will primarily be based at our 312-bed Level 3 trauma center located in Bristol, Tennessee, which is recognized as a primary stroke center. The responsibilities will also extend to Holston Valley Medical Center (HVMC) in Kingsport, Tennessee, and Johnson City Medical Center (JCMC) in Johnson City, Tennessee, both situated approximately 15 miles from Bristol.

We are part of a comprehensive health system comprising 21 hospitals that serve a 29-county region. This includes three tertiary facilities, 18 community and critical access hospitals, seven cancer centers, 18 urgent care locations, and numerous specialty offices through our employed group, which consists of over 800 physicians and advanced practitioners.

• Full-time employed position

• Average patient load: 12-15 patients (including consults)

• Utilization of Epic EMR across the health system

• Support from physician extenders (Nurse Practitioners)

• This role involves managing inpatient stroke cases and general neurology, including consults in the ICU, general medical floors, and emergency departments, as well as interpreting routine and prolonged EEGs.

Situated in Bristol, Tennessee, our medical center is a 312-bed facility that caters to the healthcare needs of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. We are equipped with advanced medical technologies, including stereotactic radiosurgery with TrueBeam STx and Brainlab, multidimensional cardiac catheterization labs, and surgical robotics such as the DaVinci Xi for minimally invasive procedures and MAKO for joint replacements.
